Swish Atlanta was formed to dispel common myths regarding basketball shooting and put players on the path to mastering this important skill. We believe the reason most players can't shoot is because they're being taught techniques that simply do not work. These techniques are a carry-over from days of the two-handed set shot, and are not efficient when using the one-handed release used in today's game.
 

With each passing event we become more convinced we are on the right track. Shooting is the most neglected skill in the game. Myths and misinformation confuse and discourage young players and, to an extent, many coaches as well. Yet the object of the game is to score more points than the other team. We have a saying at Pro Shot. “Learn to shoot and you will play. Learn to shoot quickly and accurately and you will play somewhere in college”
